Ordering a Print
If you want to buy one of my photos, this short page tells you everything you need to know. It's a very easy process, and there are just three steps:
1) Find the photo you want to buy.
2) Go to my contact page. For the subject line of the message, write the title of the photo. In the body of the message, tell whether you want a standard edition, special edition, or artist's proof.
3) Once you hit "send message," I'll get back to you within 12 hours, and usually much quicker (assuming I have WiFi). I accept PayPal and checks, and I will cover all PayPal fees. Shipping is also included with every print, so the price I list is the grand total of what you pay, no matter your payment method. Note: non-US buyers and those from Alaska and Hawaii must pay for all shipping costs, but I do ship anywhere in the world.
All standard edition photos I offer are printed with Kodak Lustre paper, then mounted to a 1/4-inch foam backing. The prints are ready to hang out of the box, and the printing house will start to process your order the moment that you tell me which image you want. This is a modern printing style, where the work hangs flat on the wall without any borders.
For standard Tier One prints, the price is $125.
For standard Tier Two prints, the price is $100.
For standard Tier Three prints, the price is $75.
The photos on this site are all cropped to one of four aspect ratios: 1x1, 3x4, 2x3, or 1x2. The corresponding standard print sizes for these aspect ratios are 15x15 inches, 12x16 inches, 12x18 inches, and 10x20 inches.
I also offer limited edition prints of all my photos. Limited edition prints are part of a low run, typically limited to ten works.
There are a few key differences between standard edition prints and limited edition prints:
The photos on this site are all cropped to one of four aspect ratios: 1x1, 3x4, 2x3, or 1x2. The corresponding special edition print sizes for these aspect ratios are 20x20 inches, 18x24 inches, 16x24 inches, and 16x32 inches.
When these prints run out of their edition (typically limited to ten prints), I will never sell another copy of the photo again in the same style. At any size, at any time in the future. I take the exclusivity of my Limited Edition prints very seriously.
In addition to standard and limited editions, I also offer my prints as artist's proofs. These come in an edition of two. I sign and number artist's proofs on the back of the print, and I also include a certificate of authenticity with the work.
All artist's proofs are printed with Fuji Pearl paper and then face-mounted to acrylic, the most beautiful way I have found to print a fine-art photograph. The acrylic face mount is 1/4-inch thick and flame-polished, and the prints are ready to hang the moment you open them. You simply cannot get a higher-quality print than an artist's proof.
All artist's proofs are $550. Just like the special edition prints, their sizing depends upon the image's aspect ratio. All artist's proofs are sized to be as close as possible to a 16x24 inch print in area. Again, 16 inches is the minimum length of the short side.

As with special edition prints, I take the exclusivity of my artist's proofs very seriously. When they run out, I will never sell another copy of the photo in the same style at any point in the future.
If you have an idea, I can make it happen. I can print a larger-than-normal print, for example, whether you want a standard edition, limited edition, or artist's proof. Prices will change to reflect the value of the new product, of course.
If your custom request is similar to a limited edition or an artist's proof in style, I will count it against the run of prints I list next to each photo. For example, if you want an acrylic print that is 24x36 inches instead of the standard 16x24, I would still count it against the 2/2 artist's proof edition. Your custom request would be numbered on the back accordingly.
Whether you have a custom request or you are purchasing a normal print, contact me and I'll let you know your options. We will always be able to work something out.
All the high-quality prints on this website are certified archival for 80 years, and they will last much longer if kept in good condition (77°F or cooler with 30-60% humidity, and out of direct sunlight).
